The markers along this path highlight outbuildings and other features that would have been significant to the daily work of running a large plantation. The African-Americans who worked at Poplar Hill on His Lordship’s Kindness, prior to and after emancipation, would have walked along this path while performing many of their daily tasks and would have retired to their quarters down this wooded lane, at the end of the day.
